    Former Great Sankey high School student Gemma Prescott won a bronze medal at the Paralympics in Rio last week for the club throw. Gemma who is now 32 years old and adds this bronze medal to her bronze won at London 2012. Gemma has a Masters degree in Maths from St Andrews in addition to her many sporting achievements and is a real inspiration to our students.

    Can all students ensure that they follow the designated routes from the bus stop into school, this is for safety reasons due to the ongoing works with Livewire.  Wherever possible please avoid traveling to school by car as parking is very restricted at the moment.

    A huge well done to all our competitors in this year’s first inter-house competition – Cross Country.  students from all year groups participated in the event – each competitor scored valuable house points towards this years House competition.  Will Parks House win again?  Or are the other Houses making sure they don’t?
